S E X - Stieg Larsson

I am about 20 pages off finishing "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" By the late Stieg Larsson, and I am in thought turmoil! If you have read this book, you will understand, if you have not read this book, I strongly urge you too! I don't want to include any spoilers but the clever structure of the plot, the complex characters.. everything is gripping, shocking and unlike anything else I have ever read. This has been right up there with a 10/10 rating in my view, on a par with Dan Brown's books, however this is on a whole new level because it deals with something incredibly powerful and profound in today's society, and also something which was personal and important to Larsson (check out wikipedia:

I am itching to finish (after I write this) and get onto the next one (unfortunately on Friday when I return home as I did not bring it back to boarding school with me!)

I would love to be this relaxed. This afternoon we had a serious talk about how we only have 2 terms until our A levels make themselves known and that we need to work like dogs until then. Solidly, 5 hours of prep a day, revision, extra reading around our subjects. The Shit. AARGHH. I sometimes feel as if I am being suffocated, and this constant, constant flow of work, revision and more work will. never. end.

But just got to think 5 months, 5 months, 5 months left. Then I am officially finished in school, free to be who I want to be without the shallow pressures that make an everyday appearance here.

"If you're really listening, if you're awake to the poignant beauty of the world, your heart breaks regularly. In fact, your heart is made to break; its purpose is to burst open again and again so that it can hold ever-more wonders."

D U O - Heath

Following up on my Brokeback post, I thought I would share some Heath Ledger beauty with you. Here are some of my favourites from my (pretty impressive) collection.

And if you think I am some crazy obsessed stalker... you're actually pretty close!

But everytime I look at these picture I am am shot with a pang of desolation due to his sad, sad death.

 This one breaks my heart.

Perhaps my favourite.

And I leave you with these slightly haunting images.

I respect you Heath. You were strong, but sensitive, talented and beautiful... so beautiful.
May Heath Ledger Rest In Peace.
Love And Peace.
